What Will You Learn?

  • When you get certified as an ACPA operators, you will increase your pumping safety effectiveness, operator awareness, increase efficiency, decrease job accidents, and improve your company's reputation with your customer base.

Course Content

Segment One: Before the Job
This segment will cover the definition of an ACPA operator. The rules and regulations regarding consumption of drugs or alcohol. The type of PPE the has to be used while operating the machinery. This segment also educates on the reasons why tight clothing must be worn whiles operating the machinery, why protective glasses should be used, how to properly operate the machinery when going down a hill, understanding of the guiding manual, and which one is the maximum legal height (without permit) when operating within federal interstate highways.

Segment Two: Set up and Operation
In this section, we will be covering the following topics: - What is needed when arriving to the job - Which angle should the unit be leveled to get proper stability - How the One-to-One rule works - What has to be done if the outriggers cannot be fully extended. - What cannot be done when is necessary to short rig a unit with telescoping outriggers. - Protocols to follow when is necessary to abandon the area of the pump while the pour is in progress.

Segment Three: Hazards on the job
In this section, we will be covering the following topics: - The potential risks of electrocution that exists in the workplace - The minimum safe distances to operate from high voltage power lines - The risks of hydraulic oil being injected under the skin. - How to reach when a plug is encountered.
