The Lead Exposure Hazards Toolbox Talk from ClickSafety is designed to familiarize participants with lead and lead over-exposure in the workplace across industries such as Construction, Repair, Renovation, and Demolition. In this introductory overview, Pete Rice, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), reviews the hazards associated with over-exposure to lead, as well as identifies the employer’s role in developing a site-specific Lead Protection Program. Furthermore, participants can expect to review OSHA’s Lead Standard, engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
